This blog is about the canoeing adventures of Andy Schoolmeesters ( Scooby) and Steve Nelson (Brighty).

We just returned from a very memorable trip to Kawnipi lake with my son Joe and Steve's son-in-law Travis.
We spent 8 days exploring the wilderness of Quetico. It is always exciting to introduce people to the beauty of the BW/Quetico. This was Travis's first canoe trip and Joe's first Quetico experience. They both said they would go back so, trip was a success.
Steve and I started making trips together in 1999 when we went to Sag with our wives and youngest children. Both my wife Michelle, and I had been to the BWCA before but it was the first trip for Steve and his wife Becky.
Since then the four of us have done 10 trips together mostly in September and have enjoyed every trip. Also Steve and I have done a number of spring trips together as well as with other groups. During this most recent trip, as we were relating some of our stories around the campfire my son Joe suggested we should start a blog site.
Well, being technically challenged as I am he agreed to set it up for us. It is obviously a work in progress so hopefully we can get photos and stories from previous trips on the site in the near future.
